Just when I was SURE that American conservatives were the most intellectually bankrupt, along comes David Cameron, the British PM, with the clever idea to kick all the rioters and their families out of their government-provided housing.

There are plenty of reasons for progressives to be disappointed with Obama's first term record: his failure to close Guantanamo, his apparent embrace of the perpetual war industry, his hiring of the usual suspects to run the economy.

I think it's time decent Americans started arming themselves AGAINST the possibility that people like this will become more and more emboldened.
How conveniently they choose to ignore the fact that these documents were requested under the Freedom of Information Act and that, had the President chosen NOT to release them, he'd have been signing onto the Bush attitude that the government has a right to keep things from its o …

Banks that are getting taxpayer bailouts awarded their top executives nearly $1.6 billion in salaries, bonuses, and other benefits last year, an Associated Press analysis reveals.
I feet no need to fight with you in public, but your comments raise a question in my mind: Do you have any knowledge of economic/foreign policy and their implications that is not somply a collage of headlines and subheadlines from the New York Times and political blogumnists; monologues on NPR, CNN, MSNBC, and the primetime network news magazines; and other one-sided "journalistic" endeavors? It seems to me that your comments from story to story lack any semblence of personal contemplation or conviction. You continue to drone glitterary remarks that have no background in reason. We do not agree on anything that I can surmise, but I provide logical arguments for my positions. Please try to be less "witty." It doesn't stop people from recognizing that you don't have a clue. Your best bet to look smart would be having an original take on any of these matters.
Don't kid yourself Doorag if we spend any more money in either Iraq or Afghanistan its on Obama's watch . He promised when campaigning that our troops would be home in three months if he was elected, not on the side line. I think Bush had a better handle on the situation than Obama's staff. I might add that all my neighbors had jobs three months ago and about 15% are without jobs now. Also I will settle for a 1.2 trillion dept over a 3.4 trillion as of last month. Enough of this "I inherited this or that " because every administration inherits something either g0ood or bad from the previous administration. Personally I voted for Obama but I'm starting to get perturbed by his administrations whining and uncontrolled spending and shooting from the hip like awild cowboy. Lets all hold our noes and hope for the best. PS whats with all the lobbyist in his administration? Kindest Regards Joe
